Tonight on 60/60
Years ago, two hedge hogs,
Sledge and Redge, were living happily in lovely La Mirada, California,
when their lives would put into turmoil.
What happened next is everyone's worst nightmare.
One day Redge was missing. "It isn't like Redge to just go off
on his own" reports Sledge. For days there was no word of what had
happened to the happy hedge hog.
Finally the worse fears were realized. An anonymous letter
arrived with a picture showing poor Redge in some type of jail!
Some organization called BIA had Redge.
During the next few days other threatening letters were received.
The authorities were baffled. "The most frightening picture
showed a huge knife held up to poor Redge" said Sledge.
Then the authorities were truly baffled when Sledge was also
missing!
We are glad to report that Redge and Sledge were rescued, but
at what price? Even now, after these long years they are still
both in an institution.
